Tickled Pink

On September 30 the Deptartment of Student Life at Miami Dade Colleg Wolfson Campus hosted our Third Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon. And as an added bonus MDC's Freedom Tower was selected to be part of Estes Lauder's awareness for Breast Cancer and the freedom tower was illuminated pink. Feeling Refreshed!

I took a hiatus from one social networking site and picked up on a few others but I'm back to the blogging..

This weekend I went we went to Ft. Lauderdale Beach with my NAACP kiddies and we had an amazing time at the convention we came back Fired Up and ready to fight social injustices and we had an amazing time during our break at the beach...



While I was at the beach I realized how much I love the beach and how much I've missed it.



Check me out in the background of this picture enjoying the beach.. I think I was enjoying it so much that I forgot that I was there with others. I found myself singing and in a deep state of relaxation. It made me remember that their is a God who created this whole word with its splendor with just words and I'm apart of it so i can just relax.



So because the beach is so relaxing I will definitely start going once a week. While I was there my mind was at peace, I was clam and I definitely left with peace of mind.

Pants on the ground

I heard people saying the phrase "Pants on the ground" but since i no longer indulge in the foolishness of American Idol I didn't know that someone seriously came on the show to sing this. Valentines Day

This is the forth or fifth year that I have been or will be single on Valentines day and I'm absolutely fine with that. For me Valentines Day has become an over commercialized holiday. If you love me you can show me your love everyday. Buy me little things here and there. Buy me flowers: Iris or some orchids, take me to dinner and a play, buy me cards throughout the year. Please don't buy me an over-sized teddy bear or some chocolate that I don't need or spend a lot of money because it's "Valentines Day".

Maybe my thoughts are skewed on this topic.. I wonder how others feel... Feel free to comment
