Is it just me... or can you agree. If you want to add some lashes no problem.. but when you have sleepy eye syndrom I think that your lashes are TOOOO long.... If i can see your pile of glue, I think the glue is tooo thick. Next time go to the professional... Shirley Rodriguez at Skin So New does an awesome job.

Lowkey’s Top 10 Things You Better Not Do In DC

Lowkey’s Top 10 Things You Better Not Do In DC
10. Ask for any sort of discount at ANY establishment. Remember, everyone’s President is black now, so the privileges you think you’re entitled to, jump in line….you’re not the only one. “That’ll be $15.75, sir” “Come one, haven’t you heard the news, my President is black”.
9. Please don’t give the MPD (Metropolitan Police Department) any reason to send 950,000 volts in your tushi. The last thing Barack Obama needs to be worried about is whether or not the cop on duty had a reason to defend himself. Act right, folks.
8. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT yell “GOTCHA” to anyone outside of the African-American culture. This is in no way a “GOTCHA” moment. Rubbing Obama’s victory in with boisterous banter while 80,000 other folks surrounding you consistently yell, “My President Is Black, My Lambo Is Blue” will sure ignite some tension.
7. Remember, this is a political atmosphere…treat this event like it needs to be treated. Treating the inauguration like its All-Star, Superbowl, Freak-Nik, or Spring Break weekend will only enhance the chances of #9.
6. Do not crash any parties/functions/gala/or balls. Yes, Jay-Z is having a party at Club Love. Yes, TI, Jeezy, Nas and Akon will be performing at the BET Inauguration, but that damn sure doesn’t give you any reason to act ignorant at the door because your favorite artists is inside singing your favorite tune. Be cordial. If they say “Keep it moving”, please do so in a timely fashion.
5. During the day of the inauguration, keep your heads, bodies and arms inside your vehicles. This is a different type of victory, celebrate it in a professional manner.
4. Do not head down to DC with the mentality of “I can’t wait to hit Jay-Z’s concert”. Our 44th President, whom is black might I add, is on the verge of getting sworn in, educate yourselves…somehow…someway. And if you wake up with a hangover after a night of partying, that ass better get up and educate yourselves just as hard. This is the wrong time to “Blame It On The Alcohol”.
3. I know it’s already occurring, but DO NOT go down there with the hustlers mentality. Leave all your “OBAMA” paraphernalia at home. Have some respect for Obama, I mean seriously. I know the economy is in shambles right now, but if you’re down there already, your financial status isn’t THAT bad.
2. Do not ask anyone of a different creed, culture or race, “Hey, how does it feel to have a Black President?”. You’re only setting yourself up for an insane amount of disrespectful responses which might include…..well, you’re not naive, just don’t DO IT!
1. If you happen to see or catch a glimpse of Barack Obama…PLEASE, I REPEAT, PLEASE, whatever you do……DO NOT YELL, “Barack, what up my N*GGA?” That sentiment right there will basically cancel out everything Barack’s accomplished thus far. Think I’m lying, take a quick glance right after you blurt out the moronic gesture…YOU’LL SEE!
Alright, I’m done. Be safe, have fun and remember…this is Barack’s Week…NOT YOURS!

Have you ever been in this place?
I wrote this last night and was too lazy to get up and type it then (probably because it was too much action going on in my house).
As humans we sometimes feel discouraged or valued less because of previous actions, but it always seems to be people placed in your life to give you the strength you need to make it through the day, the hour, or even the minute. It's that good conversation that helps take your mind off the negative aspect of like even for a short while.
That's what happen when yo allow yourself to open up to people, no matter what they look like act like, etc. It's the one's you least expect that end up helping you the most.
When you meet people in the kitchen of Twitchell Hall, in chemistry class at MDC, at Target, on bus stops, at church (sometimes you want to run because of previous experiences!!!)or in other random places you don't look for people who will impact your life in the best way.
How do you say thank you, when they give you great advise time and time again.
How do you say thank you, when they are there when you need a shoulder to lean on.
How do you say thank you, when you have received an amazing friend!!!
Life sometimes lead you on a different path, but you never forget the people who make you adjust when you really need to, mold you into who you are, and those who help make the sculpture that much better.
So if I don't speak to you every day, I ♥ you all...and from the bottom of my heart I thank you all!!!

History in the Making!!!
This week that we have started is going to be a historic week. The United States of America is going to have the first African American President. This is an amazing experience in my history, the US history and history we can tell to future generations.
Last night I was speaking to my brother about how the country got to this exact place and he said that he never thought we were going to see an African American President.
But here we are, bask in the ambiance because this is the first of many first in our nation's history!!!

Can you speak correctly...
Today, I was reading a series of comments today of comments on a popular social website and was disgusted by the language that people use. There comes a time when you should use correct English. I mean what's so wrong with using proper English??? Am I wrong for wanting to read something with proper grammar??? Even if you don't use punctuation you can at least put the ellipsis (these ...)!!!!
That's all for now. I can rant on this for days.

Realized some things...
I wrote this a couple of weeks ago, and never posted it.
At a certain point in life you realize that you have to become an adult and do you because those who say they care about you the most has done all that they could or choose to do to help you out. Ok so I was in school doing good and being naive about situations that was going on in the family life. Have to come back home and think its just temporary but it turns into a permanent.
Let's just say that I finally realized, that I have to grind for me, because others have their own priorities, and mine are important, just less important than theirs. From this day own, I'm going to do me, and do me good. I'm focused now!!! I know what have to do to make a better life for me. Can't depend on any else to make sure I'm taken care of. So with that in mind, if I have to work three jobs to pay off my school and afford my school, then that's exactly what I'm going to do.

Happy New Year
2008 came and went so fast, I can remember some monumental events that happened to me in 2008. But the days of 2008 are long gone, and now I must create memories of 2009, so that next year on January 1, 2010 I can say that I remember those days, and cherish the life memories.
Looking back on 2008, there are many things that I enjoyed and will remember for ever and then there are things that I don't regret, but I've learned from my mistakes and vow never to do again.
Things happen for a reason, it's not always evident why it's important in your life, but in time you realized that it was your test, and your testimony proves it!
This year I made bonds stronger, connected and made new bonds, and lost some. IT WAS NOT AN EASY YEAR, BUT ON DECEMBER 31, 2008, I was able to say that I made it through, because of God's grace.
2008, was a year of New Beginnings, and I'm not going to loose sight of the new beginnings. I am going to hold dear what i learned in 2008, and use it as a life lesson for 2009. 2009 is going to be my year. I am going to get my AA this year, and finally get one step closer to finishing my bachelors degree that I started in 2006. I am going to take good care of my body and treat it as the temple (in all situations)! Last and certainly, I am going to learn how to lean and trust more on God, because I clearly got myself into some situations in 2008 that could have been avoided if I would have simply done his will and not my will.
My personal theme for 2009 and the rest of my life is not my will buy thy will.
